taking time to breathe

Jacob plays outside every day now. He just loves to be out side, but not getting dirty. Everytime he touches the ground we need to dust off his hands. He's so funny.
He thought it was funny to throw the ball over the fence on our deck and make mommy get it and through it back. After a few times I caught on and stayed over there.

Today I had to take two exams after Dan got home from work. I was so stressed with good reason. They were really hard. I'm so glad they are over, but now it's time to start preparing for the next few. I'll be glad when Christmas break is here. I love school, but it's so much. I need to plan my classes a little better next semester. I can't plan two hard classes together. It's way too much. Plus I have Jacob and then Jack 2 days a week. It's been exhausting! Anyway, while I was out Dan and Jacob hung out. This is a picture of Jacob laying on the couch watching curious george. He loves that show. He calls it Georgie. He only watches it every once in a while but he asks for it all the time. I think we'll have to get some Georgie books for Christmas!

Here are some pictures

Just a few pictures.

All is well

All is well here in the Cruz house. Jack is here today and he and Jacob are both sleeping right now. I actually get some time for me! They played well this morning once Jacob decided to share his toys. He's still learning how to share, but he is getting better. The cutest thing was when Jack started to climb on me and Jacob pushed him away and said "no, my mommy!". He didn't push hard. I had to try not to laugh because it was cute that he was trying to keep me all to himself. I was good and told him not to push Jack and that he was allowed to climb on me. He seemed ok with that, although I could tell he still didn't like Jack climbing on his mommy.

I have two exams on thursday. I'm a little nervous about them, but I've been studying so hopefully I'll be fine. I know physiology will be multiple choice so I just need to read through my notes a bunch of times and try to reword things so I know that I understand them. Anatomy has a lot of fill in the blanks usually so I really need to know that stuff. Luckily Anatomy doesn't have a lot of material, so I should be fine.

Yesterday was a good day in sports for Dan. The Yankees gained a game and are now only 1 1/2 games back from Boston, and the Cowboys continued their winning streak another game and are now 3 -0! It's always nice to see Dan happy when his favorite teams do well.

quick

This is going to have to be quick today. We are cleaning and Dan is putting on new locks. They are really nice and we got them for free from his work. YAY. Tonight we're going out with friends who we haven't seen in a really long time. I'm so excited. They are expecting their first baby in March. It's so neat to see how excited they are. We're going to try to go together and pick pumpkins with Jacob sometime in october. I hope he enjoys that. I should return to my cleaning and check to see if Dan needs any help. Have a great weekend everyone.

Happy Anniversary

Today is our 4th wedding anniversary. It's hard to believe our wedding was 4 years ago. So much has changed, but one thing has not. I still love Dan with all that I am. He is my best friend. I couldn't ask for a better husband and father to our children.

Bouncing off the Walls!

Today we went to Bouncing off the Walls. It was our first time and Jacob loved it. He was nervous at first but once he warmed up he was running everywhere having a blast. Here are a few pictures.

We went with my Aunt and her granddaughter Taylor.

At first Jacob was afraid of the slides. He did eventually begin to warm up but is still a little unsure of them. I'm sure after we go a few times he'll learn to love them.

He likes the bounces and even had some fun climbing. As he gets a little older this will be even more fun for him. It was so precious just to see him smile as he was jumping in the bounce. For the first time he was jumping and both feet came off the ground. He was so proud of himself. We will definitely go back. We might even think about getting a membership. All that playing made me tired too. I think I'm going to go and lie down for a little bit while Jacob naps.

Wow

We had a crazy weekend. The foster puppy, Blue, did not fit in well here so he is no longer here with us but back with his previous foster family. He's really cute and sweet but he and Toby are a crazy really high energy mix! The pet fair was really good this year again. Everything ran smoothly as always. Lexi's party was also fun. Jacob was a bit grumpy by that time but once he got to playing with the ball he was ok. And after cake he was so happy!

Jacob's been sick lately which has been really hard. He has another cold and has begun to cough again. I'm just praying it doesn't get really bad again. It's only been 1 month since his bronchitis where we spent hours at the ER for. I just don't want to see him go through all that again. He was so sick. He does not have a fever this time though which is good. My poor baby gets sick too much. I think it has something to do with him being a premie and also not being able to nurse him. Hopefully he gets all of these illnesses out of his system now and once he starts school in a few years he's super healthy.

Last thing I have to say is that my goal of loosing weight is actually going really well. I haven't weighed myself recently but I have lost inches which is more important to me. Jacob and I spend about 1/2 hour outside almost every day. That gets me up and moving. We also chase each other. I've done really well at eating less which I am so proud of myself for. It's so hard when I am just relaxing for a little while between studying and cleaning. YAY for me. ( ok so I'm a little proud of myself....)

crazy day

Today is full of stuff to do. Laundry, cleaning, studying and heading to work tonight to help set up for pet fair. This is one of my favorite events. I'm so excited about it. Riki always does an awesome job of preparing and making it better every year. We'll have agility set up this year and police dog demonstrations. It's going to be fun. Dan loves it too. I'm really excited that the weather seems look like it will be nice. That's what we love. Jacob seems to be feeling better today which is also really good. It was just a minor cold this time....yay. No ER trips this time. I never want to go through that again, although I am sure we will at some point. He is such a little boy that I am sure we'll have all kinds of bumps and bruises and broken bones...although I hope we don't. I love that he loves sports so much. He also like music. He loves to hear mommy sing. It makes me so happy! I love my little boy. Have a great weekend and stop by the pet fair. It's at Newtown Veterinary Hospital in Newtown Pa from 10:00 to 4:00 but I have to leave around 3:00 -3:30 is to go to Lexi's first birthday...yay Lexi! Ok...that's all for now.

They both just have colds, but both are not to happy about it. Jacob is sleeping and Jack is in the exersaucer right now. This weekend is the pet fair at my work. This event is so much fun.
